Riders who want distance without climbing. No hills to speak of, but 82 km of exposed coastal road adds up in a headwind.

Out of Pisa on the traffic-free Trammino cycleway to the sea at Marina di Pisa, south along the coast to Livorno, and back the same way. Flat throughout and never more than 18 m above sea level.

The first 10 km leave Pisa on a dedicated cycleway running through flat farmland and pine forest to Marina di Pisa. From there the route turns south down the coast, mixing seafront road with urban streets into Livorno, then retraces the whole thing.
