The ride starts in Sandefjord and passes through Breidablikk, Mosserød and Bugården in the first 3 km where a bailout point is near Sandefjord station at 1.7 km. After leaving these suburbs, the ride continues mainly northwards to the places of Åsrum and Fjære by 13 km. This section includes the longest descent from 3.7 to 5.5 km dropping 41 m. The route then approaches Hagnes and Trollsås climbing for 1.6 km from 7.3 km, gaining 48 m at an average gradient of 3.1%.
