Starting near Lourinhã at 2.3km, the route heads through Zambujeira do Mar and climbs steadily over 2.7km past Serra do Calvo with an ascent of 96m at an average gradient of 3.6%, reaching 113m elevation. The first half of the ride contains 62% of the climbing, including this early ascent.
