Route overview

Suits riders of most levels: 105.2 km is a long day, but with only 90 m of climbing the effort is all in the distance.

A flat 105.2 km point-to-point across the lower Rhône from Orange to Nîmes, with just 90 m of climbing.

The route leaves Orange and runs south through Caderousse at 6.2 km, passing Montfaucon and Roquemaure on the way down the Rhône corridor. It is level throughout this opening section, with under a third of the day's modest 90 m of climbing coming in the first half. At 31.1 km the road reaches Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, where a water tap at 31.5 km and a viewpoint at 31.9 km sit just before the crossing into Avignon at 33.9 km. Out the other side comes Les Angles at 39.4 km, then a string of villages on the right bank: Aramon at 49.6 km, Théziers, Montfrin at 60 km and Comps at 64 km, before Beaucaire at 73.7 km. The lowest point of the ride, 7 m, falls at 75.8 km, and the only graded climb starts immediately after at 76.2 km: 1.6 km at 3.5%, with a maximum of 7.6%, topping out at 62 m. That high point at 78.4 km is the summit of the whole route. From there it is flat running through Redessan at 87.2 km and Rodilhan at 93.2 km into Nîmes.
