This 100.6 km point-to-point route starts in Trento, passing Cristo Re, San Martino, and Centro storico within the first 2 km. The route continues through many small places including Mattarello at 8.3 km and Besenello at 15.8 km before reaching Arco at 47.9 km. From Arco, the route follows the lakeside towns such as Torbole at 54.7 km, Malcesine at 68.1 km, to ultimately Toscolano Maderno at 96.9 km.
Climbing totals 264 m and is mostly in the first half with the highest point of 272 m at 41 km near Doss Trento. The terrain is mainly flat (88%) with small sections of steep gradients (up to 12.2%). Surfaces are mostly paved (85%), with 4% gravel or unpaved. The course includes 38.7 km of cycle paths (40%) and 20.6 km on main roads; 20.7 km of main roads have no cycle lane and 4.5 km have posted limits over 80 km/h.
Along the route, there are cafes and shops at many villages including a cluster near Malcesine and at both start and finish. The longest stretch without a café, shop or water is from 89 km to 96.4 km (7.4 km). Bailing out is possible at stations in Trento, Calliano, and Mori, and ferries from Torbole, Malcesine, Assenza, Torri del Benaco, and Maderno.
Expect stretches on main roads without a cycle lane (20.7 km in all) between quieter sections.
