The ride leaves Al Aqah heading north beneath Jabal Dadna, a 102 m rise close to the road at 1.7 km. The first 10 km run flat and close to sea level, with a cluster of cafés around 10.3-10.5 km and restaurants at 11.2 km and 12.2 km. Al Ghurfa comes at 14.9 km, and Dibba Al Fujairah at 18.6 km, where the route touches its low point of -12 m at 17.9 km. Through Dibba the road threads a string of built-up districts: Al Doob at 20.1 km, then Northern District and Dibba Al Hisn at 22.2 km, Al Mohalab and Al Seeh at 23.2 km and Al Murabah at 23.8 km. A fuel station at 25.5 km marks the return leg south through Sambraid, Akamiya, Al Ras and Rol Diba, the last passing beneath Aqabat al Hadid at 171 m.
