This route starts at Holmbridge at 185 m elevation and climbs 5 km to Holme Moss at 520 m. The climb is continuously uphill with a 6.7% average gradient and sections reaching up to 11.4%, including a steepest 500 m at 18.7% at the start. The route goes past Hinchliffe Mill at km 0, Holme at km 1.6, and Lane at km 2.3.
