The loop starts at sea level in Port de Pollença, dropping to its low point of 1 m within the first 200 m, and heads inland past the peaks of Puig d'Almadrava, Cuculla de Caselles, Puig des Camp d'Avall and Puig de Sant Miquel. The first climb comes at km 16.8: 1.8 km at 3.4%, topping out at 111 m just before Campanet and Moscari, where the cafés begin. Inca at km 26.9 has the densest cluster of cafés and restaurants on the route. From Inca the road runs south-west through Biniagual, Consell and Santa Maria del Camí, then into the outskirts of Palma via Marratxí and es Pont d'Inca, reaching Palma de Mallorca at km 59.6 and crossing the city's suburbs. Leaving through Son Ferriol, a 3 km climb at 2.9% starts at km 74.8 and lifts the route to 124 m near Santa Eugènia. A third climb of 2.2 km at 2.7% begins at km 88 above Ruberts, and the high point of 187 m follows at km 91.3. From there it is rolling and largely downhill through Sineu, Muro and Alcúdia before the run back along the coast to the finish. Half the day's climbing is done by halfway.
