Route overview

Suits riders of most levels: 71.2 km with only 234 m of climbing, and no sustained gradients.

A 71.2 km point-to-point through the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune vineyards, from Couchey near Dijon to Givry.

The ride begins by Couchey and Marsannay-la-Côte, at the highest point of the whole route: 298 m comes at km 0.4, and everything that follows is gentle. The road threads the wine villages one after another - Fixey, Fixin, Brochon, Gevrey-Chambertin at km 4, then Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot and Vosne-Romanée before reaching Nuits-Saint-Georges at km 14.8. South of Nuits the villages keep coming: Premeaux, Comblanchien, Corgoloin, Ladoix-Serrigny and Chorey-les-Beaune, with Beaune itself at km 31.6 and by far the largest concentration of cafés and restaurants on the route. Of the 234 m of climbing, 43% is done in the first half, so the second half is flatter still. From Beaune the route runs out onto the plain through Bligny-lès-Beaune, Tailly, Demigny and Lessard-le-National, then Fragnes and Champforgeuil into Chalon-sur-Saône at km 60.5. The low point of 179 m falls at km 62.7 near Saint-Rémy, after which a slight rise through Vessey leads to Givry at km 69.6.
