Sète to Aimargues through the Camargue

Suits riders of any level after a long, essentially flat day, with 92 km and only 54 m of climbing.

A flat 92 km point-to-point from Sète along the Languedoc lagoon coast and into the Camargue, finishing at Aimargues.

From Sète the route runs south-west through La Peyrade and Frontignan before slipping onto the narrow strip of land between sea and lagoon at Les Aresquiers, where the road touches sea level at its lowest point around km 13.6. Vic-la-Gardiole and Mireval follow, then Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, Les 4 Vents and Cabanes de L'Arnel lead to Palavas-les-Flots at km 30.5. The middle third is pure coastal shelf riding: Les Cabanes de Carnon, Carnon, La Petite Motte and Cabanes du Roc, then La Grande-Motte at km 47 and Le Grau-du-Roi at km 53. Aigues-Mortes, at km 59.5, marks the turn inland. After Aigues-Mortes the route crosses the Camargue plain past Saint-Sébastien and Gallician, reaching the high point of the day, all of 27 m, at km 75.6. Le Cailar comes at km 80.8 and Aimargues at km 84.7, with Mas d'Androns and La Garrigue closing out the final kilometres. Total climbing is just 54 m, split almost evenly between the two halves, so wind rather than gradient sets the pace.
