A short day at 42.9 km, but with 562 m of climbing packed into the second half, so best for riders happy with steep pitches.

A 42.9 km loop from Begur through Pals, Palafrugell and Llafranc, with 562 m of climbing and a high point of 221 m.

From Begur the route runs inland to Pals at km 5.4, where drinking water, cafés and a viewpoint sit close together in the village. A short rise of 1.6 km at 2.8% from km 8.2 tops out at 74 m near Torrent, and the road then drops through la Barceloneta and Llofriu to Palafrugell at km 14.5, the largest place on the loop and the best-stocked for food and fuel. Beyond Palafrugell the route turns for the coast past Esclanyà and Calella de Palafrugell, reaching the lowest point of the ride at 10 m around km 19, just before Llafranc. The climbing starts in earnest here: 1.6 km at 3.5% out of Llafranc, then the steepest section of the day from km 24.1, 1.5 km at 8.1% with a maximum of 13.9%, topping out at 145 m. A final 4 km at 4.3% from km 26.8 lifts the route past Fornells to the high point of 221 m at Begur, km 30.8. From there it continues through Regencós at km 34.2 and el Mas Tomasi, then back down towards sa Riera and the finish at 42.9 km.
